Today, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred in the Fiji Islands, located in the southern Pacific Ocean. The epicenter of the quake was located 597 km southwest of the capital city, Suva.
The earthquake struck at a depth of 507 km below the ocean floor. According to preliminary data, there were no reports of casualties or damage.
"We felt a slight earthquake. The vibrations lasted about 4 seconds," said a local resident.
